ACTION by Robert Ringer
First off this Book is AMAZING!
I am really getting alot out of reading a book a week and I suggest it to everyone if they can find the time. Anyway Robert Ringer’s book are very practical and I have learned alot from them.
Of all the quote on quote success guru’s Ringer’s writing really meshes. I don’t know why it just does. So thanks Dan Kennedy and Jay Abraham for bringing Ringers work to my attention. I actually Today just ordered his other book million dollar habits.
He starts off the book by saying
“Nothing Happens until something moves” – Albert Einstein
And you know what that makes sense. There is a saying that an average idea acted upon is better than 1000 great ideas never acted upon. Lots of people have great ideas most people don’t act on them. The people that did are the movers and shakers of the world like Richard Branson and Larry Page.
In the later chapters he covered the law of averages and he explained in a way that made sense. He says that everyone knows of the law of averages but many people do not use it.
Like all the Robert Ringer books it’s just alot of commonsense, but it’s so much commonsense that you never take the time to think about it and that is really what this book does. Action Produces Results. Not Meditation or the Secret.
This is a book that I am going to read and reread because it is above all inspiring and motivational. I don’t want to give away too much but here are some of the quotes from the book
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the one you did.” – Mark Twain
“Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness with out action.” – Benjamin Disrali
“Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows.” – Michael Landon
and Finally
“Action is life – and life is meant to be lived.” – Robert Ringer
