This is a list of the books I’ve finished recently. Most have a tiny summary and some a link to more detailed notes. They are also sorted by the books that have had the most personal impact on me.

READ: 2008-09-30 RATING: 9/10 AMAZING book! Should be required reading in school for every child. I first read it during my last semester at the University of Massachusetts. My first Millionaire Mentor Bob had the class read it and I’m glad he did! Highly recommended reading for everyone. |
READ: 2009-05-05 RATING: 9/10 The classic book on the psychology of persuasion. I read it way back in 2009 and haev referred back to it frequently. Reciprocity, Commitment & Consistency, Likability, Authority, Social Proof, and Scracity are “compliance triggers” that just plain work. These “triggers” are the secret weapon that “the top online marketers” have used to make millions. And the great part is rather than paying 2k for a 32 hours of video on how to launch a product online, you can pick this book up for less than $20 bucks. This book could potentially be worth millions to you. |
READ: 2009-09-27 RATING: 9/10 Incredible Book. Because of the $100 price tag many skip it, but don’t do it! This book is a gold mine. It is considered by the elite of the marketing and advertising world to be one of the best books on the subject of creating breakthough ads. I have to warn you it’s a tough book to read, but it’s worth the price and effort. Eugene was the man bottom line. |
READ: 2009-04-16 RATING: 9/10 This is kind of cheating because it’s a CD set, but it’s so good I had to put it on here. Jim in my opinion is the best of the best when it comes to personal development. I’ve listened to this CD set several times. It changed my life. This CD is consider a MUST listen. |
READ: 2009-11-22 RATING: 8/10 The success Bible. Period. Should be Re-read annually. Someone I know who is 35 with a networth of $400 million told me he’s read it 30 times. |

READ: 2009-07-22 RATING: 7/10 Another Direct Response Marketing Classic. And another MUST READ for any serious marketer. It’s got a list of headline templates which are GOLD. If at all possible get the 4th Edition. The version with Fred E. Hahn sucks. |
READ: 2009-08-07 RATING: 7/10 Yet another Direct Response Marketing Classic. And yet another MUST READ for any serious marketer. This is one Halbert’s must read list, and it’s a book I plan on re-reading. |
READ: 2009-09-01 RATING: 7/10 Another book on Halbert’s Must Read copywriting list. Great primer on how to write a great advertisement |
READ: 2009-10-05 RATING: 7/10 From the Halbert List. This book is a goldmine of business building and direct marketing wisdom. Highly Recommended |
READ: 2008-11-30 RATING: 7/10 This was the first of many Dan Kennedy Books I’ve read. Solid book like all his books. Filled with Gold! Great book for starting entrepreneurs. |

READ: 2009-03-10 RATING: 7/10 Very good Book/CD set. Anything by Dan Sullivan is Pure Gold. MAJOR TAKEAWAY was his two economies concept. The first, the time and effort economy where you get paid for time. And the second, the results economy where you get paid for results. This book clarified my decision to get paid for results “aka being a Magician” and not to get paid for my time “aka being a Mule” |
READ: 2009-01-15 RATING: 7/10 Classic Book. The BIG IDEA is to upon receiving new money, take 10%, and pay yourself first. Simple Idea. |
READ: 2008-07-21 RATING: 6/10 Classic Book. I plan on re-reading it. Read this when I didn’t really know how to “read”. |
READ: 2009-05-11 RATING: 6/10 Sold Book. The Main message is to seek out mentors that are credible and that mentors will make all the difference. After reading this I knew I couldn’t go at this alone and I needed a mentor. This was in 2009, at that time I wanted to be a great copywriter, and in my research it seemed that Gary Halbert was the best ever. Only problem was Gary had passed away in 2007. So I sought out, people who he had mentored and that’s when I met Doberman Dan. And it was when I met him that things began to really head in the right directions. |
READ: 2009-07-11 RATING: 6/10 Pretty Good Stuff. Gives you a system for mastering skills. Highly Recommend. |
READ: 2009-09-16 RATING: 6/10 From the Halbert Reading List. Great Book. A Bizz Opp Classic. And while your at it see if you can dig up the ad to sell it, it’s amazing. |
READ: 2008-07-21 RATING: 5/10 Good book by true alpha male and business man. Read this book when I was starting out and I don’t remember much except for Gene saying that the time to rake risk in your life is when your young. This book was pivotal in helping me decide to go out on my own. |
READ: 2008-07-17 RATING: 5/10 This little book I read while working as a Engineering intern at Westinghouse. Yes I was on a path to become a Nuclear Engineer…Thank God that didn’t happen. The Big take away I got was that there is no plan and to MAKE EXCELLENT MISTAKES when starting your career. Well I got the excellent mistakes part right, except I don’t know if you would call them all excellent haha. |
READ: 2009-01-09 RATING: 5/10 Very fun read and interesting to learn how the social advantages and culture make up who we are. I also figured out why I am not a professional hockey player. The 10,000 hour rule is interesting although not 100% accurate in my opinion. However, I will say that this book did cause me to aim for mastery and not give up. Hence, why I have put in the long yards when its come to learning marketing and sales. |
READ: 2009-03-04 RATING: 4/10 Read it back in 2009. Like Outliers was a fun and interesting read. Besides that no real big take aways. |
